Bangalore, Sep 17: While Karnataka Milk Federation is determined to hike prices of milk being supplied by it across the board by two rupees per litre citing escalating costs, depleting margins and accumulated losses, the state government has expressed itself strongly against the move.
On Monday September 15, the state government filed a caveat in the state High Court on the issue. The government's move is being seen as an attempt to preempt KMF from obtaining any ex-parte order from the court against the government on the issue.
The long-awaited meeting between the chief minister and KMF delegation is yet to materialise. The people expect, that both the parties will sit across the table and sort out the matters, instead of indulging in pulling each other's legs.
