Mangaluru, Jun 4: Dr Sanjay Govil, consultant Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant surgeon, Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru, will be available for consultation on June 6 at KMC Hospital, Dr B R Ambedkar Circle (Jyothi Circle).

Dr Govil is specialised in living donor liver transplantation. He has been trained in CMC Vellore and has many fellowships from abroad. His special interest lies in Hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery for cancer and Vascular resections for cancer.

Dr Sanjay Govil has many first laurels including the first successful adult living donor liver transplant in Tamil Nadu at CMC Hospital Vellore, the first successful adult living donor liver transplant in Karnataka Narayana Hrudayalaya, performed the first laparoscopic liver resection, performed the first laparoscopic liver resection in a cirrhotic, performed the first successful laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy and the first ante situm liver transplant in Karnataka.
