Kundapur: Two Congress candidates from Karnataka coast pray to Goddess Mookambika

Kundapur, May 15: Two of the Congress candidates from the coast who are awaiting the result of the just-concluded assembly election in the state visited the famous Goddess Mookambika temple at Kollur on Monday May 14 and prayed to the presiding deity to grant them success.

Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister, B Ramanath Rai, came to the temple late evening on Monday, paid obeisance to the goddess and took part in 'Mangalarati'.

Earlier in the day, Vinay Kumar Sorake visited the temple and sought blessings of the goddess.

Ramanath Rai represents Bantwal constituency in the state assembly and has been fielded again this time as Congress candidate from this constituency. Vinay Kumar Sorake, sitting MLA from Kaup constituency, is fighting the election this time with Congress ticket.

    now they remember god and goddess. Otherwise they will say minority caste etc and spoil the mood of the citizens. congress for the last 68 years rule only by dividing people on large and fooling. Thats all.

    Mr Rai - this man stopped the food to kalladka school children that was provided from kollur and now shamelessly praying there. What else you expect? God showed you the result.
