Mumbai: Musical Evening Enthralls Konkani Buffs in Bandra

Mumbai, Sep 8: Christians United Movement of Karnataka (CUMOK) organized a Konkani musical evening in aid of orphan kids at Bandra East Community Centre on Sunday September 7. Led by young musician Blany D'Costa, well-known personalities like Victor Concessao, Antony Tauro, and others rendered hit songs.
Noted muscian Benjamin Miranda, directed the music for the evening and regaled the huge gathering with new and old Konkani hits. Besides this, Konkani skits and other entertainment items were also presented. Hary Sequiera Ferar, a popualr name among Konkans, known for his social work was in charge of the entire event.
Mumbai Pradesh Congress Women's wing president Janet L D'Souza was the chief guest. Lawrence D'Souza, president, All India Christians' Union, Maharashtra, Maurice Pinto of Dadar Sharadhashrama, Fr Xavier Amritam, Norbatines Superior, and Shankar Poojary, youth Congress leader, were the guests of honour.
Fr Xavier D'Souza, director, Bandra East Community centre, addressed the gathering and talked of the activities taken up by the community in Bandra. Rony Baindoor's devotional Konkani album 'Bapa Mogaa' was released during this event. Sunil Sakinaka and Jerry Bondel compered the musical nite.
