Bengaluru, May 7: "If I become the chief minister of Karnataka again, I will take care not to repeat earlier mistakes and will be more careful in running the government," said B S Yeddyurappa, BJP state president and chief minister-designate.

"As already said, I will take oath as the new chief minister of Karnataka on May 17. Within 24 hours since rising to power, I will waive off farmers' farm loans in both nationalized and cooperative banks up to a limit of one lac rupees. If I fail to keep my word, I will not continue as chief minister for even one hour," he stated.

At the same time, Yeddyurappa stated that he will continue with the good schemes implemented by Siddaramiah government.
