Bengaluru: Karnataka elections vital for India's future, says Shashi Tharoor

Bengaluru, May 6: Shashi Tharoor, member of parliament, has said that the outcome of Karnataka assembly elections plays an important role in the future of India.

"Congress's win in the assembly elections of Karnataka is not only important from the point of view of the state, but vital also from the point of view of democracy. Prime minister Modi speaks of corruption. However, when we go through the list of BJP candidates, we are able to make out that most of them are in the 'Most Wanted' list," accused Shashi Tharoor.

Continuing his barrage he said, "The financial situation of Karnataka, is much better compared to that of the nation. The capital of the whole world is flowing into Karnataka. People of Karnataka have noted the lies of Modi and Amit Shah. Prime minister, who speaks of 'Make In India', has deceived the employment of Kannadigas by giving the war aircraft deal (Rafael) to a private company and not to HAL."

"BJP, who is objecting to the celebration of Tipu Jayanti by Pakistan, is arguing on historical matters which are of no relevance today. Congress thinks of the future. Tipu has done good work in Karnataka. The state government has recognized his deeds," he stated.
