Kundapur, May 4: “JD (U) has extended support to NDA government at the center due to special reasons. It has become a routine practice for important leaders of BJP who are accused of corruption to go to jail and come out from it,” ridiculed JD (U) national chief secretary Tanvir Akhtar.
Addressing media here, he said, “Nitish Kumar is trying to realize dreams of Ramamanohar Lohia and George Fernandes who had professed pro-society principles. As the culture of welcoming those who grew in anti-party policies is increasing in Congress, senior leaders are going away from it. Congress party which has lost the trust of people in the country will secure only a few seats in the future.
“I have seen a statement by a politician that morality will win in a political war between the moral and immoral. But JD (U) is bound by satisfaction of party work. We believe that hard work brings success and adore your work and development. If JD (U) comes to power in Karnataka, liquor and child marriages will be strictly banned in the state,” he said.
Kundapur constituency JD (U) candidate Rajiv Kotian said that he was inclined towards politics since his student life. “I have 40 years of political experience. I have decided to contest elections after witnessing religion based politics without principles in Kundapur. The atmosphere here is conducive. I liked the fool proof precautions of sincere election officials here. If those continue, the influence of money and other things that take place two days prioe to elections will decrease.
Therefore, I am confident of my win,” he said.
Party state spokesman Behalli Nagaraj, constituency committee president K P Sathish and city committee president Ashok Saranga were present.
