Udupi, May 3: "Modiji’s true slogan for entire India is 'Make India Jobless'. Modiji is visionless. Prime minister has become the king of announcements followed by denouncements.Snatching the jobs of the youth, food from the farmer, business from traders, savings from household are his achievements," said Jaiveer Shergill AICC spokesperson. He was addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, May 2.
Jaiveer also told that in 2014, the youth was the biggest strength of Modi whereas, in 2019, the same youth of India will be his biggest weakness.
He continued his address and gave facts and figures to support his attack on Modi by saying,"Karnataka government has created 15 lac jobs and the unemployment rate of Karnataka is lowest at 1.6% against the national average, which fluctuates around 3.1%. Narendra Modi promised to create around 2 crore job opportunities but his own government’s Niti Ayog report of 18 February 2018 recognizes the fact that job creation is an acute problem in the country. Niti Ayog has also given another report along with RBI stating that the nation is facing an unprecedented crisis of underemployment. Prime Minister Modi is in the mood of campaign and celebration while the nation is facing job crisis,"
"Prime Minister’s vision is limited to pakodas and paans. If BJP is elected in Karnataka then they will force the youth of Karnataka to sell pakodas and paans. Narendra Modi spoke of the banking system in Udupi and the people of Karnataka are still safe from the 'Friends' of PM like Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi. Prime Minister has stolen money from the public and lends the same to his 'Friends'. Modi government runs 'Udaan Scheme for Fraudsters'. The common man had to stand outside ATMs and banks in the queue due to demonetization whereas Modi’s 'Friends' were enjoying in London, Hongkong and America,"
Explaining how BJP's victory, if at all, in the upcoming election would affect the state of Karnataka, he said, "Public banks would be prone to people like Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi and Vijay Mallya. Also it would be the beginning of Acche Din for the education mafia." He also accused the involvement of representatives of ABVP, youth wing of BJP, in the question paper leaks in Delhi.
Referring to the women, Jaiveer told that BJP has become the protector and spokesperson of rapists in the country. He further questioned the PM why has he made an MLA, a deputy chief minister, who openly speaks in favour of rapists of the eight-year-old girl victim of Kathua rape incident.
"PM’s slogan of 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' in the real sense is 'Beti Darao aur Balatkaariyo ko Bachao'. Instead of ease of doing business, ease of doing rape is flourishing under Modi Government," he added.
On behalf of Congress and people of Karnataka he posed a few questions to Modi, which AICC secretary expected to address in the upcoming rallies, and asked, “If PM is so concerned about Karnataka then why did the central government did not clear the extension of Mangaluru airport despite repeated request from the Karnataka state government? Why didn’t the central government release funds for the third stage expansion of fisheries port? Why didn’t the PM fulfil his quota of funds even after litigation? Why didn’t central government release funds for fishery harbour in Kulai which ultimately lead to the shelving of the project? Why did he release only 1435 crore for flood relief in Karnataka when the state demanded 15000 crore? Whereas he sanctioned 8000 crores and 2000 crores to Maharashtra and Rajasthan respectively,"
"Can the PM give an explanation on why he did not waive off a single rupee of the loan to farmers of Karnataka? Why did PM snatch the 36000 crore investment which would have come to Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL)? Why did PM shift CRPF centre from Karnataka to Uttarpradesh which already has 5 headquarters? Why the students of Karnataka are not allowed writing IBPS exam in Kannada even after CM Siddaramaiah categorically wrote to Arun Jaitley?”
Talking about PM’s attack on Rahul Gandhi’s 15-minute request he said, “PM is allergic to Rahul Gandhi that he can’t even give 15 mins to answer his questions.” He also said that the Modi has lowered the position of prime minister of India in the Karnataka rallies and hurt the stature of the PM’s chair.
He warned people of Karnataka that "PM believes in advertisement and not development. BJP is agendaless, visionless and directionless. They focus only on 3C (Crime, Corruption and Communalism) while the Congress focuses on 3P (Peace, Progress and Prosperity). PM has to answer as to why he hasn’t addressed press yet? It is a well-known fact that you believe in monologue and not dialogue but isn’t that the death of democracy?" He concluded by saying that people of Karnataka must be cautious and also remember 'All That Glitters is not Gold' while voting on 12 May.
