Udupi, Sep 7: In a tragic incident that was  reported to daijiworld.com late last night of Sep 6 , it has been confirmed that 17-year-old Nishikant died while immersing the   Ganesha idol.. It is believed that Nishikant, a  second year PU student of Adamaru PU College jumped into the pond along with other friends.  Since he did not know to swim, he died in the pond.








Though the Fire service team immediately  arrived at the spot, Nishikant could not be rescued.

Nishikant  was the son of Nirmala and hailed  from Badagrama near Ragavendra Math.

Padubidri police have registered a  case
