Kasargod: Catholic Sabha honours special achievers

Kasargod, Apr 30: District deanery of Catholic Sabha presented Prathibha Puraskar 2017-18 awards to special achievers. The programme was held in St Monica church auditorium, Kumbla on Sunday, April 29. Kasargod Vicar Fr Valerian Frank chaired the programme.

Kumbla St Monica church parish priest Fr Marcel Saldanha was accorded civic honour on the occasion.

Zilla panchayat member K Srikanth, Mangaluru deanery Catholic Sabha director, Fr Mathew Vas, All India Catholic Union president Lancy D' Cunha, Mangaluru deanery Catholic Sabha president Anil Lobo, deanery president Alphonso D'Souza, Kayyar, secretary Amith Arun D'Souza, Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi chief secretary Sattar Arikkadi, Kumbla Paresthana Bhagavathi Ali Chamundi sangha president Sukumar, Sagar Arts and Sports Club president Prasad, Kerala Tulu Academy member Stephan D'Souza, Kumbla parish pastoral council vice president Thomas Crasta and others were present.



Snehalaya Charitable trust managing trustee Joseph Crasta, Varkady Daidoli Sai Niketan Prathistana's Dr Udayakumar Nooji and Kumbdaje gram panchayat member Elizabeth Crasta were felicitated.

Those who have served in social, political, education and other sectors were honored. Students who secured highest marks in SSLC and PUC examinations in the deanery level, present and former representatives of local organizations, former president, secretary and special achievers on deanery level were honoured.

Tulu comedy play 'Anne Barpege' was performed by Manjeshwar Sharada Arts after the formal programme.
