The recently held "Sarva Dharma Sammelan" at Neermargha, a multi-religion Convention is certainly a step in the right direction. Conference such as this, duly participated by all the Religious and Social congregations will help formulate new ideas and better ideas thereby exchanging various view points for ultimate unity and success amongst people of all faiths and backgrounds.

India is already a role model in the world for these kind of noble gestures that will help unite people and share so many good ideas for a better future. We recently attended a large gathering at an Offshore location amidst people of all nations and all cultures. It was a noteworthy fact that the role of India was boldly highlighted by so many distinguished people that were present. It made us feel so proud that India is becoming a true role model in so many delicate issues, and at the same time India's role in so many delicate situations of the world is well recognized and appreciated.

The United States Government has specifically underlined the importance of giving nearly two million candidates from many parts of the world a special privilege for granting legal status of permanent residence, and out of these two million suitable candidates nearly ten percent are of Indian origin. That goes to prove the reliability and dependency on Indian expatriates whose Educational reliability has become a noteworthy fact. The honest work, reliable work, hard work and consistent work - INDIA is known to be a dependable source. Our Secular values, our social values and our moral values are well recognized.

Our charity as noble people therefore is rested in how we perceive our role in India. Let there be more "Sammelans" of this kind, and let us light the candle of hope in every corner of our daily undertakings in India. Thank you so much, Bishop Francis, for your active participation at Neermargha.
