Mangaluru, Apr 25: Top leadership of BJP had initially decided to meet Satyajith Suratkal and convince him about the situation under which his demand for ticket from the city (north) constituency could not be met. For some reasons, the party leaders have backed out from this plan. This development has peeved the BJP backward classes leader further.
An angry Satyajith Suratkal has announced that he would not be available for election campaigning by his party in Dakshina Kannada district. He said that the top state leaders of the party had informed him that they would come to him to sort out the issues on Tuesday but withdrew the assurance later. "I have been hurt because of negligence shown towards me. I will not take part in electioneering of the party. This happens to be my individual decision and my fans and workers are free to take their own decisions," he stated.
At the same time, Satyajith clarified that he would be available to campaign for the party in districts other than Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu and Udupi. He clarified that if the party does not entrust him any election-related responsibilities, he will undertake campaigning as per his personal choice.
Satyajith Suratkal said he has withdrawn from the decision to contest the election at the advice of Gurpur Vajradehi Swamiji and that he will not work against the party's interests. At the same time, he said he will not remain neutral.
