Karkala, Apr 24: Amidst celebration and fanfare BJP candidate V Sunil Kumar filed his nomination on Monday, April 23.

A procession was taken out by BJP activists and his supporters from Karkala Anantashayana to Kukkundoor grounds.

Vidhana Parishat member Captain Ganesh Karnik, senior BJP leaders Bola Prabhaker Kamath, M K Vijaya Kumar, constituency president Maniraja Shetty, chief secretary Mahaveera Hegde, Ravindra Kumar, district chief secretary Navin Shetty Kuthyar, district secretary Bola Sadashiva Shetty, publicity committee president Mahesh Shetty Kudupulaje, Bhoomika Rathnaker Suvarna, Raviprakash Prabhu, Mudluppadi Sathish Shetty, BJP leaders Bola Srinivas Kamath, Beluvayi Sadananda Shetty, Bhasker S Kotian among others were part of the procession.

Hundreds of activists shouted slogans supporting Sunil Kumar. Women threw flower petals as the procession passed and applied vermilion on the forehead of Sunil Kumar and blessed him.
