Kundapur: Youth commits suicide by hanging

Kundapur, Apr 6: A 25-year-old man committed suicide by hanging in a shed behind his house near Balkur here on Thursday afternoon, April 5.

The deceased man has been identified as Nagaraja Devadiga, elder son of Balkur residents Gopal and Yashoda Devadiga. He was a daily wage worker. He had not been to work for the last few days and committed suicide when nobody was around at home.

The mortal remains are kept at Kundapur government hospital for post-mortem. The reason for the extreme step has not been ascertained yet.

A case is registered at Kandlur rural police station. Investigation is in progress.
