Mumbai, Apr 4: Konkani Catholic Welfare Association (KCWA) Bhayandar west, celebrated its 10th annual function on Sunday April 1 at Our Lady of Nazareth School Quadrangle, Bhayandar west. A social and comedy Konkani drama ‘Mhojhe Voili Kals Nivar’ was staged.
The programme commenced at 7 pm with the felicitation of distinguished guests by the office bearers and committee members of the association with bouquets of flowers and shawls. The guests present were Deacon Fredrick Correa from OLN Church, Sr Meena - Superior of Holy Cross Convent, Comedy King - Francis Fernandes Cassia, Fr Vinod Mascarenhas, Beltangady, drama director - Kala Ratna Kala Samrat William Machado (Dahisar) and written by Joseph D’Souza (Borivali).
The actors were also felicitated with a trophy by the association for their efforts.
George Sequeira, president of the association compered the stage function beautifully.
This is the third superhit drama written by Joseph D’Souza. The catchy songs were composed by Charles D’Cunha. The fabulous music was played by Benjamin Miranda.
The drama would not have been successful without actors like George Sequiera (Bhayandar), Helen Noronha (Mira Road), Felix D’Souza (Malvani), Henry D’Souza (Borivali), Juliana D’Souza (Bhayandar), Jossy Gonsalves (Mira Road), Jenitha D’Souza (Goregaon), Elias Pais (Mira Road), Romeo Lobo (Dahisar), Melvin D’Souza (Kandivali), Mark Oliveira (Borivali), Ida Pereira (Bhayandar) and Cleon Sequeira (Bhayandar).
The drama ‘Mhojhe Voili Kals Nivar’ has a good story with a meaningful script, catchy songs and powerful direction. It has comedy, tragedy and emotion. The crowd through their cheering and laughter was enthralled by every scene.
The next show of ‘Mhojhe Voili Kals Nivar’ will be staged at Our Lady of Rosary Church Quadrangle, Goregaon West on Sunday April 8 at 6.30 pm and will be organized by Konkani Seva Mandal, Goregaon west.
