Mumbai: Goregaon Karnataka Sangha celebrates diamond jubilee

Mumbai, Mar 19: Goregaon Karnataka Sangha on Sunday morning, March 18 celebrated its diamond jubilee at Bajaj auditorium, Malad west. Genetic priest Vedamurthi Harinarayana Asranna lit the lamp and inaugurated the programme.

Social worker, advocate Jagadish Shetty was chief guest. Bantara Sangha Mumbai women's wing vice president Uma Krishna Shetty, Tulu Kannada Welfare Association Kamote president Bola Ravi Poojary and Kalathur Raghavendra Bhat were present.



President of the Sangha, Ramesh K Shetty Payyar welcomed the gathering. He also released their annual magazine Mumbelaku, edited by Srinivas Jokatte and a series of articles written by the members of the sangha. Vice president Narayana R Mendon delivered the keynote address. Veda M Suvarna and party sang a prayer song. Seema Kulkarni sang a party and welcome song.

Artistes from various art groups in Mumbai, Goregaon Karnataka Sangha sub committee members and women members presented a cultural programme. Women members presented 'Shashiprabha Parinaya' yakshagana play directed by Devalkunda Bhasker. Sumitra B Gujaran, J K Hegde, T V Dangal and others felicitated the artistes. S Bangera conducted the cultural programme.
