Mysuru, Mar 18: BJP national president, Amit Shah, has deputed a team of trusted lieutenants of the party led by Meerut MP, Rajendra Agrawal, to cause the downfall of chief minister (CM), Siddaramaiah, in Chamundeshwari constituency during the upcoming assembly election. The team has ensconced itself in this constituency and is busy drawing up plans to achieve CM's debacle.
Speaking to media persons, Agrawal said that the aim of his party is to register victory in all the four constituencies in the city. "Most importantly, our party is aiming at inflicting defeat on Siddaramaiah in his constituency. Our party will draft suitable strategy to achieve this result," he stated.

Agrawal said that his party will be fielding a surprise candidate in Chamundeshwari constituency and that his team will make sure that whoever fights on behalf of BJP here will come out victorious. He agreed that during the last election, his party had fared poorly and had been relegated to third spot in this constituency, but exuded confidence of achieving breakthrough and winning from here. He however, hastened to add that his party will not enter into internal understandings with JD(S). He said that the party high command will decide on electoral understandings.
In the meanwhile, Narayanalal Pancharya from Rajasthan, a Rajya Sabha member, speaking in a booth level presidents meeting at K R Pet, called upon party workers to fight like brave soldiers in the election and achieve Karnataka devoid of Congress.
A number of BJP leaders from north India are active in Karnataka now, who act under Shah's instructions, for furthering the party's interests.
