Moodbidri: Protest against Jain for allegations against Karinje Swaiji on Monday

Moodbidri, Mar 18: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader, Prof M B Puranik, stated that a huge protest would be organized against MLA, Abhayachandra Jain, on Monday March 19 at 3 pm in the town. He said that the protest is aimed against baseless allegations levelled by Jain against Karinje Sri Muktananda Swamiji.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday March 17, Puranik stated that the protesters will go in a protest procession from Lord Venkataramana temple to Swaraj Maidan. He said that Sri Manila Vajradehi Math Swamiji, Gurpur, will be present at the programme, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad regional assistant secretary, Gopal Ji will deliver the main address.

VHP southern zone secretary, Sharan Pumpwell, said that as per the decision taken at the Dharma Samsad held at Udupi recently, meditation on the Lord's name towards invoking divine intervention to make the temple consruction a reality, will be undertaken from March 18 to 31 (next day of Ugadi to full moon day). He said that chanting of Lord's hymn will be undertaken in households 108 times everyday during this period. He also added that apart from mass chanting of Lord Rama's name, Mangalarati will be performed on full moon day in all temples.

VHP district secretary,Shivananda Mendon, and district working president, Gopal Kuthar, were present.
