Mangaluru, Mar 16: Veteran Konkani comedian Felix Saldanha passed away on Friday, March 16 in city.
He was 69.
A comedian from his childhood days, he acted in many plays till some years back. He was part of comedy troupe ‘Dol-Fel-Chal’ which created waves during Konkani musical nites with comedy skits.
Felix hailed from Derebail in city. He had directed many plays for Derebail parish for Kala Sampath and Konkani Natak Sabha competitions which won prizes without break for years.
Felix acted in many plays including that of Chafra and Mickmax, two famous dramatists of yesteryears. He also wrote many plays. He directed plays written by Chafra like ‘ Doro’ and ‘Tharnem Tharnem Mornem’.
He was recipient of Dakshina Kannada district Rajyotsava Award.
