Bengaluru, Mar 14: "Even as the state government continues with its policy of harassing IAS officers, Rashmi Mahesh, who is also an IAS officer, has gone missing since the last ten months. You have to reveal where she is now," said MP, Shobha Karandlaje, who also happens to be the general secretary of state BJP, directing her question at the chief secretary of the state and state government.

Speaking to media persons at the BJP office at Malleshwaram here on Tuesday March 13, Shobha recollected that Rashmi Mahesh had been attacked by employees for unearthing a huge scam. "She is not to be seen since the last ten months. Efforts made by her friends and me to contact her have failed. We could not find her whereabouts so far," she explained.

After Rashmi brought out the scandal,she was attacked and frequently transferred. Her mysterious disappearance has caused a feeling of fear. Instead of rewarding her for bringing out the scandal, she was punished with frequent transfers. Frustrated at this, she applied for leave and went away, never to be seen again, Shobha claimed.  Rashmi has not been seen since April 16, 2017, and she has not even contacted the department of personnel and administrative reforms, she claimed.

She pointed out that in the case of shooting at cattle thief Kabir, Naveen Nayak, personnel of Anti Naxal Force was suspended unnecessarily. The government has been inflicting harassment on its IAS officers. Now it wants to take action against IPS officer, R P Sharma for pointing out its follies, she complained.She also wanted to know from the chief minister what reward he had got for providing additional facilities to former AIADMK leader, Sasikala, in Parappana Agrahara prison illegally.
