Mangaluru Mar 11: Minister for food and civil supplies U T Khader on Sunday March 11 hit out at BJP general secretary Ravikumar for his statement that Khader and district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai were 'no less than terrorists'.
Ravikumar had made remark while speaking at the BJP law and parliamentary affairs cell's state committee meeting on Saturday March 10. He had also said that just looking at Rai and Khader gave a clue about the current state of affairs in coastal Karnataka.
In response, Khader addressing the media here on Sunday said, "We will not give much importance to his statement. We do not need his certificate as people know us very well.
"Ravikumar has no moral right to criticise chief minister Siddaramaiah. It is common to lose mental stability when election is inching closer. For the sake of power they can go to any extent, like how they built alliance with extremist PDP in Kashmir. If BJP is patriotic, then let the party give up administration in Kashmir. BJP is even seen supporting the extremists in Nagaland and Tripura," Khader alleged.
"As Congress is sure to retain power in Karnataka, BJP leaders are hatching a conspiracy to polarise the society. I urge them not to disturb peace for the sake of votes," he added.
Asked about alleged irregularities in distributing title deeds, Khader said, "It is impossible to have irregularities in distributing title deeds as they are given directly through the revenue department with no middlemen."
