Tumakuru, Mar 10: Accusing chief minister Siddaramaiah of financial mismanagement, former chief minister and JD(S) state chief H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday said that the state government has become 'bankrupt'.
"The CM stopped widow and old age pensions, as the state lacks money. The CM is an expert in finalizing kickback deals. He has used his position to loot public money by finalizing deals with senior officials,” he accused.
He also said that the details of Siddaramaiah’s financial mismanagement have been published in a newspaper.
He also expressed confidence on JD(S) coming to power in the state. "Congress won’t be able to fulfill any of the promises declared in the budget as it won’t retain power. It is JD(S) which will form government in the state," he said.
It is not the first time Siddaramaiah has been accused of receiving kickbacks. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier taken a jibe calling the Karnataka state government as a 10 per cent commission government. Siddramaiah had lashed back at Modi, calling him morally unfit to be a Prime Minister.
