Mangaluru, Mar 8: The second performance of the Konkani drama 'Khandi Khuris' by Rang Tarang troupe of Mysuru was successfully held on Sunday evening March 4. The drama was held under the leadership of Don Bosco club, Puttur at Mai De Deus church open grounds.
Nearly nine hundred people witnessed the performance.
At the start of the programme, Don Bosco Club, Puttur presented mementos to the artistes of Khandi Khuris. Don Bosco club president Sharon Sequeira read a letter of felicitation in favour of Vally Vagga for his Konkani literary works. Parish priests and assistant parish priests of Puttur, Maril and Bannur parishes, St Philomena college principal and lecturer priests and Don Bosco club office bearers together felicitated Vally Vagga.
Khandi Khuris is written by Vally Vagga, given the shape of a drama by John M Permannur and directed by George William D'Souza. George William D'Souza, Madanthyar, Agnes Lena Shambhoor, Pius Saldanha Virajpet and Clifford D'Souza Madanthyar have taken part in the drama. Music was provided by Samson Mysuru. The drama will be presented in Beltangady, Mulky, Kelarai, Don Bosco Hall Mangaluru, Madanthyar and Kinnigoli, six places of Mangaluru diocese during lent this year.
