Udupi/Bantwal, Mar 6: The BJP's 'Jana Suraksha Yatra' in Udupi and Bantwal on Monday March 5 turned into a Siddaramaiah-bashing fest as party leaders came up with names and terms branding the chief minister as a leader who appeases only Muslims.
In Udupi, opposition leader in the Legislative Council K S Eshwarappa during BJP's Mangaluru Chalo 'Jana Suraksha Yatra' said that chief minister Siddaramaiah should have been named 'Siddu Rehman'.
Addressing the rally that reached Kinnimulky Junction from Ambagilu on Monday, March 5, he said, "The state government is a ‘goonda government’. It is creating confusion among people. Siddaramaiah’s parents must have named him ‘Siddu Rehman’. No action has been taken again Muslim organizations so far. He can fool JD(S) president Deve Gowda, but not BJP. He is supporting Muslims only to get votes. He calls Muslims 'innocents' and he invites them home for dinner. The state government is taking over temples. Are the temples his ancestors’ property? This is a conspiracy to polarize votes. He left JD(S) only because he did not get the CM’s chair. If I am saying anything wrong, God will punish me.
"Siddaramaiah became CM of Karnataka because BJP and KJP got divided. Youths died without any reason here. What will he do if the same happened to his son? He forgot the names of Sangolli Rayanna, Valmiki, Kanakadasa and is speaking in favour of Tipu Sultan. From today, he has just two months to be in power, after that BJP will come to power. Soon after that, we will implement the ban on cow slaughter. We will protect religion and bring control over rape and violence in the state," he said.
Karnataka’s BJP in-charge Muralidhar Rao said, "Congress says that they fought for freedom. Did Siddaramaiah participate in the freedom struggle? After he became the chief minister, what he did do for Karnataka? Why Hindu outfits’ youths got murdered? It was all planned. Youngsters, who were the only bread-winners of their families, were murdered.
"Even after so many murders in the state, home minister Ramalinga Reddy does not take any action. Many have been killed for chanting Vande Mataram and saving cattle. They dedicated their lives to the nation. If the government cannot safeguard such lives, why are they in power? Congress government has failed in Karnataka.
"The CM of Karnataka has become a Don here and is protecting Muslim organizations. He speaks about Congress party in day time and sits with Muslim organizations in the night. He has a deal with PFI to kill patriotic leaders. BJP is governing Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and many states. Now even CPI(M) fell against BJP in Tripura. Now it is time for the same to happen in Karnataka.
"Congress president Rahul Gandhi himself failed to win in Amethi and now is coming to Karnataka for election campaign. Wherever both Siddaramaiah and Rahul Gandhi campaign, they will get zero result, because, they have cheated patriots.
"The state government is helping terrorists, and anti-national organization like PFI and SDPI. So we need to throw out Congress from the state, which is having relationship with terrorists groups.
"Bengaluru is becoming a crime city, rape city, and garbage city. Earlier people were coming to Bengaluru to spend their retired life or youth were coming to look for jobs. It was known as ‘City of hope’, but now the Silicon City is known for ganja and sand mafia. People have started calling the state government as mafia. Unless there is no guarantee on protection of lives, there is no chance of revolution. Yeddyurappa government should be back in power for protecting the lives of farmers," he said.
"Commenting on the new plan of the state government ‘Nava Karnataka - Vision Document 2025’, Rao said, "They could not achieve anything in 70 years of Congress government, what can they do in such a short period?
"BJP will reveal many scams of MLAs soon which are hidden in dairies. Many will definitely go to jail in the coming days," he said.
Udupi Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje also spoke on the occasion.
MLC Kota Srinivas poojary, former MLA Raghupati Bhat, former MP Jayaprakash Hegde, state secretary Uday Kumar Shetty, zilla panchayat president Dinakar Babu, zilla panchayat vice-president Sheela K Shetty, state secretary Shyamala Kundar and others were present.

He accused Indira Gandhi of producing terrorists, and Congress of standing to their support. Nalin stated that innocents, IAS and IPS officers, coolies etc continue to meet death in Karnataka. He accused Siddaramaiah of inciting Hindus rather than shedding tears about these deaths.
