Mangalore, Aug 12: The members of Christaraja Youth Movement took out a protest rally, urging the government to undertake immediate repair of the road between Kayyar and Jodukallu (Parambala) in Kasargod district on Monday August 11.
The road between Kayyar and Jodukallu has been damaged severely and the vehicle drivers have been finding it difficult to travel on the road owing to the presence of large number of big potholes. The authorities have not so far, come forward to repair the road, even though the locals have been demanding for the same since long. That is why the members of Christaraja Youth Movement supported their cause and took out protest rally on Monday.
Fr Anil Alfred D’Souza, parish priest of Kayyar church, Abdul Hammed Sakhaphi, head of Kayyar Masjid, Eshwar Naik, former president of Don Bosco A P U School Parents-Teachers’ Association and Catholic Sabha Mangalore region secretary Gilbert Deepak D’Souza were present on the occasion.
Wilson J P D’Souza, president of Youth Movement, welcomed the gathering. Roshan D’Souza proposed vote of thanks. Felix Crasta compered the programme.
