Bhatkal, Mar 2: Bhatkal Inter Football Association (BIFA) is all set to embark on its journey in the national level games, as it will represent Karnataka in the All India Senior National Football7 championship 2018 which will be played on March 4 and 5 at Aurangabad in Maharashtra. This national level championship tournament will be organized by Football7 Association of India.
Zuhair Armar will lead the team as the captain of the Karnataka team, followed by Nadeed Kadli, Afzan Jabali, Tabish Gawai and Muhammed Kumail. Maawiya Mohtesham will be the head coach for the team. It shall be noted that the team will also include players from the entire state of Karnataka selected through trials held at Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Bidar.
Addressing the media, Ranjith Kumar, president, Football 7 Association of Karnataka said that he recently noticed the talent of BIFA team at Bagalkot during a tournament in which the team played brilliantly. "I also watched few other matches of BIFA and noticed their ability and best performance. We finally gave BIFA an oppurtunity to represent Football 7 Association of Karnataka team. He wished the BIFA players all the best encouraging them to display their talent and sportsmanship at the national level.
Winners and runners of the tournament will get an opportunity to play in the international tournament which will be held in South America and Dubai in April this year that will be officiated by international officials from UK and Chile.
