Bengaluru, Mar 1: N A Haris, who represents Shanthinagar constituency in the city in the state assembly, visited Mallya Hospital here on Wednesday February 28. It is learnt that he met the doctors treating Vidwath, who was brutally attacked by his son, Mohammed Nalapad and his associates, and discussed with them about the current health status of Vidwath.
MLA's son and his six friends are in judicial custody in connection with the attack on Vidwath in a pub in the city on the night of February 17.
When Haris came out of the hospital, some reporters wanted to know about the current health condition of Vidwath, but the MLA curtly told them, "I am fine". When the media persons clarified that they were seeking the condition of Vidwath, the MLA silently went to his car and went away.

It may be recalled that the advocates representing Nalapad, in support of bail application for their client, have been vehemently arguing that Vidwath's health condition has improved 90 percent, whereas the special public prosecutor has been saying otherwise. The court is expected to pass orders over the bail petition on March 2. The MLA's visit to the hospital gains significance in this backdrop.
The media was not allowed inside the hospital during the visit of Haris and his interaction with the doctors. It is not known whether he also met Vidwath or people close to him during this visit.
The other dignitary to visit the hospital on Wednesday was Chamarajpet MLA, Zameer Ahmed. The hospital authorities including Dr Anand who is handling Vidwath's case, could not be contacted.
