Mangaluru, Feb 28: "To expose the anti-Hindu policy of the state government and raise public awareness about it, BJP will conduct a 'Jana Suraksha Yatra' in the coastal region. The yatra will start from two points namely from Ankola in Uttara Kannada and Kushalnagar in Kodagu district on March 3 and will conclude on March 6 in the city," said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday February 28, Nalin Kumar said, "Right from the very first day of Congress regime, the Siddaramaiah-led government has been anti Hindu. It cancelled the anti-cattle slaughter law which was brought by the BJP government in the state. Since then, cases of illegal slaughter of cows have increased and now it has spread to every corner of the state."
"At the same time, these slaughterers are not even hesitating to slaughter people, especially Hindus. The government has turned a blind eye to the killings of Hindus. Instead of condemning it, they are giving them all support," he alleged.
"A person (Kabeer) was killed by police in shootout when he was engaged in cattle trafficking. But the government sanctioned Rs 10 lac as compensation to his family. Because of this, cattle trafficking mafia has got moral support and they have started to steal the cows from huts by threatening the owners.
"In the state, killings of Hindus have increased considerably. With the help of the government the anti-social elements kill Hindus activists and people who uphold Hindu ideology. The present government has not taken any measures to prevent the killings of Hindus activists. At the time of Siddaramaiah’s visit to Dakshina Kannada, Sharath Madivala was killed. When he visited North Karnataka Paresh Mesta was killed. It shows wherever Siddaramaiah goes anti- Hindus get courage to kill Hindus," he said.
"So in order to bring about awareness about the anti-Hindu government, we are planning to organize Jana Suraksha Yatra. Union minister Anant Kumar Hegde and Shobha Karandlaje will lead the march from Ankola. Union minister Prakash Javdekar will inaugurate the march. Pratap Simha, MP of Mysuru and I will lead the march from Kushalnagar, which will be inaugurated by union minister Sadananda Gowda. Both marches will culminate together at Ambedkar circle in Mangaluru on March 6.
"From Ambedkar circle to Nehru ground, we will organize a procession called 'Mangaluru Chalo'. Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Yeddyurappa, state president of BJP will be attending the concluding ceremony," he added.
Sanjeeva Matandoor, BJP district president, Capt Brijesh Chowta, general secretary and others were present.
