Mumbai, Feb 28: BSKBA Association held a condolence meeting for the passing away of late Suman K Chiplunkar, former member of BSKBA executive committee, vice president and president of women's wing for nearly three and a half decades. The meeting held at Ashraya, Nerul on Saturday February 24 was chaired by BSKBA president Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel.
Suresh Rao expressing his grief said that Suman always wished well for BSKBA and was interested in its activities even though she resided at Nasik. “She was generous and besides her contributions, collected donations for the renovation of Gokula building. She was like an elder sister and guide to all of us. Her death is an irreparable loss to us. Mutual cooperation between us and making her dream a reality is the best homage that we can offer to her soul.”
Vice president Vaman Holla, Shailini Rao, treasurer Haridas Bhat, joint secretary P C N Rao, former BSKBA president K Subbanna Rao, Shakuntala Bhat, Prabhavati Rao, Chandravati Rao, Lata Kotekar, K N Gore, Chandrashekar Bhat and others spoke about the influence of Suman in their lives, her service to Gokula and society, achievements in educational and mudra science and expressed their condolences.
Women's wing president Prema S Rao read the letter handed over on behalf of the association to Keshavarao Chiplunkar. A silence of two minutes was observed in honor of the deceased. Honorary secretary A P K Pothi compered the programme.
