Mangaluru, Feb 26: Mayor Kavitha Sanil along with MLA Mohiuddin Bava laid foundation stone for the construction of Pachanady bridge and road concretization here on Monday, February 26.
Mayor Kavitha Sanil said, “Pachanady bridge construction worth Rs 1.20 crore, and continued road concretization till Mangala Jyothi worth Rs 1 crore has been initiated today. Pachanady railway bridge is being developed. It was a long pending dream to concretize road from Bondel to Mangala Jyothi which has become a reality with the help of locals of Pachanady today.”
MLA Mohiuddin Bava said, “Under the grants of 14th finance commission, Pachanady road development gets underway which includes Pachanady bridge at a total cost of Rs 2.20 crore. Earlier, Pachanady road was a nightmare to the pedestrians as it was in a pathetic condition. This area is now being developed. A total of Rs 2.5 crore has already been spent on road concretization and the remaining road will be concretized till Mangala Jyothi and the bridge will also be completed at the earliest.”
MCC commissioner Mohammed Nazeer, deputy mayor Rajaneesh, corporator Sabitha Misquith, MCC chief whip Shashidhar Hegde and others were present.
