Bengaluru, Feb 25: An audio clip containing conversation between N S Vinay, who was personal assistant to BJP leader, K S Eshwarappa, and Santosh, personal assistant to BJP state president, B S Yeddyurappa, surfaced all of a sudden on Friday February 23. The audio is sure to pave way for another round of fierce mudslinging between BJP and Congress.
The audio lends credence to the suspicion that fight between Santosh and Vinay and complaint of abduction were supported by politically influential people. The said clip contains conversation said to be between Vinay and a Congress activist in which Vinay is heard placing a demand for payment of three crore rupees to ruin the chances of BJP in the assembly election.
Vinay can be heard saying that he would be soon meeting the 'bigwigs (purportedly chief minister)' seeking protection. He is also found bragging about his experience in both media and political fields and that his primary aim is to ensure welfare of his own family and he does not care what happens to the country.
"Be sure that once this story comes out, people will never cast their votes for BJP. I will be releasing a movie containing this story during April, just in time for the election. This will rob enough votes from BJP from every constituency and will make sure that BJP will not rise to power," he is heard saying to a political leader, apart from asking him to arrange for payment of three crore rupees to him in the bargain.
"If you facilitate my meeting with 'bigwigs', the bigwigs will stand to gain immensely. I will include you as a partner in the film production. I need at least Rs 1.5 crore now urgently. Let our conversation and meeting be kept a secret," he can be heard saying.
He goes on to claim that the chief minister (CM) knows about him well, and that he knows that the CM had expressed his desire to meet him. He also is heard expressing his readiness to face the consequences and fight against the forces if there is a need for it, and that he would be seeking protection from the CM personally, duly telling the CM that his own party people are unable to provide it.
"You should tell the CM that I hatched this idea to make sure he gains advantage. The secret must be between me, you, and the CM. Once he gets the feeling that I want to help him, everything will work out smoothly. He need not pay from his pocket. He can ask some MLA, Byrathi Raju or top officers to arrange for the money. You should convince the CM about my media connections, talent, how I am appearing in television channels etc," Vinay is heard telling the other person, whose identity is yet to be established.
Vinay can also be heard saying that taking delivery of cash and handing it over to him will be the responsibility of the other person in the audio. He also asserts with confidence that the BJP leaders will be driven to streets once this story reaches the silver screen. "How will the impact be against the BJP if myself, my wife and children sit in protest demonstration in front of BJP office with tears rolling down our eyes a week ahead of election? It will have totally negative impact," he is heard saying, while the other person is heard occasionally giving positive responses.
