Udupi, Feb 23: Thirteen singers are all set for the ultimate musical battle in the second season of ‘Voice of Karavali - 2018', organized by Rotary Brahmavar in association with ‘Being Social’ and Daijiworld media at Valentine Compound, opposite City Center in Brahmavar on February 25.
The second season of ‘Voice of Karavali - 2018', the most watched singing reality show in the coastal region, will witness 13 upcoming singers give their best performance on stage.
The top 13 finalists are Udupi Shravya Basri, Vijayalakshmi Mettinahole, Pratap C R Koppa, Prajna Balkuru, Ambarish B H Hosangadi, Vishwatha Bhat Kutpady, Shahina Saligrama, Shainy Pereira Mangaluru, Bhagya Shri Bailuru, Akash Hebbar Kodavoor, Pallavi R Manipal, Parikshit Poonja Mangaluru and Supritha U B Udupi.

Judge Vidwan Ashok Acharya and guide Yashwanth Acharya
Known for versatile singing, Kannada music director from Udupi, Yashwanth Acharya, will guide the contestants. Yashwanth is recognized at the national level and has received many accolades for his solo singing.
Another noted singer Vidwan Ashok Acharya will grace the judge’s seat.
More than 200 contestants had registered for audition on February 11. Over 150 aspiring singers participated in audition round. Thirty contestants, who got selected in the audition round, entered the second round which was held at Valentine hall in Brahmavar on February 13.
Providing an interesting twist to the singing reality show, top nine contestants of last season’s ‘Voice of Karavali’, joined the 30 contestants.
The winners will get twin awards titled 'Voice of Karavali - 2018' season-2, which is based on judges’ selection and 'People's Choice Singer', which is based audience’s votes. Cash prizes of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 along with attractive trophies and certificates will be given away to the winners.
The third, fourth and fifth place winners will get Rs 5,000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively.
There will be attractive prizes on offer for the audience at the venue.
A distinguished bhagavatha (singer) of Yakshagana popularly known as ‘Ganasarathi’ Raghavandra Acharya has been selected for ‘Rotary Person of the Year 2017-18 Award’. He will be felicitated on the occasion for his remarkable achievements in Yakshagana.
Renowned television host Avinash Kamath will host the show which will definitely be a great event for all music lovers.
