Honnavar, Feb 22: Amit Shah, national president of BJP, opined that Crime Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will handle the case of Paresh Mesta, who was killed in the communal violence that took place in the city in December 2017.
He paid a visit to the house of Paresh Mesta and spoke to his father Kamalakar Mesta and family members for about 25 minutes. Anant Kumar Hegde, central minister, who was with Amit Shah, briefed him on the incident and also the present status. Amit Shah, who listened to the issue from all angles, comforted the family that necessary measures will be taken and there is no need to panic. He also assured to consider their petition of demands.
Amit Shah maintains silence with media
Amit Shah who came by helicopter and returned by the same did not speak to the media. As per the BJP leaders, he is suffering from fever and that is why he did not speak to the media as per his doctor's advice. Only B S Yeddyurappa, state BJP president and Anant Kumar Hegde, central minister were interacting with Amit Shah.
