Kundapur, Feb 20: "People's representative, who represents us, is the well-wisher of this locality. We have to elect MLA and MP, who have the attitude of understanding any plan that is implemented for the benefit of the public, who are social reformers and easily accessible to us." These were the strong opinions that were expressed in the first meeting of 'Voters' Awareness Campaign' organized by a like-minded group at Padmavati hall of Parijatha hotel here on Monday, February 19.

Pratin Bangera said, "There is no RTO office in Kundapur. Office of highways department is transferred to some other location. There is no office for small-scale industries. Even the fire service station is outside Kundapur. We do not have a town hall. The list of issues is just growing. In order to create awareness of these issues, this campaign is started. This is a non-political programme. This is the act of waking up the voter."

Speaking in the meeting, Ashok Sherigar said, "Only three out of 84 issues I have listed are resolved. Though I have prepared the report and given the same to the Member of Parliament, it has made no difference."

Kaushik Yadiyal, civil engineer and Mukund, retired social welfare officer also spoke on the occasion.

Avinash Shetty Tekkatte, Pratik and Ashok, who took the leadership of the team and several others participated in the meeting.
