Bengaluru, Feb 15: India is emerging as one of the most successful and active group of electronic warfare professionals in the world due to the advancement of technology in the defence systems, said Lisa K Fruge, International president, AOCUS, said on Wednesday, February 14.
While deliveringthe keynote speech in the inaugural event of three day 5th International conference on Electronic Warfare 2018 at the Tata Auditorium, she said the mutually vibrant set up of technologists envisages the faster connectivity for communication, collaborating, membership driving and mentoring among the professionals to help their country to grow.
As no single platform can be by the different branches of armed forces of a country it is theneed of the hour to innovate in this field because the future warfare would be only an electronic warfare the technology of which is growing very fast.
She called for the right involvement of young professionals in the field to infuse fresh blood leading to new application.
The conference is attended by more than 400 delegates across the country comprising foreign defence officers and technocrats from various organizations who are engaged in design anddevelop and production of armaments for the country.
M V Gouthama , chairman and managing director, BEL, inaugurating, said, “Electronic warfare system started as force multiplier has become the most essential feature in the modern warfare of all the nations in the world this dynamic field has a tremendous scope of innovation and continuous research process in tune with galloping technology.
He said the progress in this area will definitely be required for future warfare but also establish growth of peace and tranquillity among the neighbours.
Hence, he said the hardware becoming more sophisticated and compact leading to software turning more cognitive as the requirements of different branch of armed forces becoming complex this field always looks for innovations to get new adoptable in specific to the users perspective with a real time option of smooth integration and joint operation.
BEL is committed to work hard in their field more than 15 % of R&D budget is utilized for the production of EW systems for the branches of armed force of the country.
