Mangaluru, Feb 15: In a shocking case, a man was assaulted by two persons near Central Railway Station late night on February 12.
Prabhu Kannan (36) is the person injured. He has been admitted to Jayashree Hospital.
Prabhu Kannan works as a staff at prepaid taxi counter at the railway station. Taxi drivers Sandeep and Deepak reportedly assaulted Kannan over the issue of taxi queue at the counter.
As per the victim’s statement, Sandeep and Deepak are regular violators of rules at the prepaid taxi counter. The staff at the counter had earlier complained to police and higher officials. Tosettle scores, they came in the night and assaulted Kannan.
Pandeshwar police, according to Kannan’s complaint, booked case under the sections 323, 341 and 504.
