Mangaluru: Prestige International School holds annual sports meet


Mangaluru, Jan 26: Prestige International School on January 24 held their junior annual sports meet.

The junior Sports Day of Prestige International School was held in grandeur on the school grounds.

Mayor of City Corporation, Kavita Sanil was chief guest and inaugurated the function.

Hyder Ali, chairman of Prestige International School presided over the event.

Managing trustee, Syed Faizal, principal, Feroza Fayaz, coordinator, Sharmila Kumar, Edusports delivery manager, Karthik M graced the occasion.



Kavita Sanil addressing the students and parents said that she was highly impressed with the school set up, discipline among the children and the clean spacious environment around the school. She congratulated the chairman and the staff and encouraged the students to give equal importance to sports along with their studies. She then declared the annual sports meet of 2017-18 open.

The children of Grade 2 displayed their talent with a synchronized march past representing the four houses Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Neptune. Glittery pompoms, colourful foam paddles and parachutes were used by Montessori and Grade 1 students to exhibit their splendid performance through rhythmic movements which enticed the crowd present at the event.

After the display, the children put their best foot forward and participated in the track events. The fathers and mothers sportingly got involved in the games held exclusively for them. The highlight of the day was when Neptune House received the Sports Rolling Trophy for this academic Year.

The Sports Day witnessed seamless effort from each child and celebrated the determination and grit of every individual in making this event a grand success.
