Mangaluru, Jan 18: Union minister for commerce and industries, Suresh Prabhu, will hold an interactive session with entrepreneurs at Ocean Pearl hotel here at 8 pm on January 20. This programme is being organized under the aegis of BJP's city south unit with the objective of bringing to the knowledge of the minister, problems that are being faced by businesses and industries and to find solutions for the same.
In a press statement in this connection, city south BJP president, D Vedavyas Kamath, said that representatives of about 30 organizations in the district will take part in the programme and the total attendance is expected to be around 200. The minister will hold interaction for one and half hours, he stated.
Representatives of various organizations including Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Small Scale Industries Association Yeyyady, Karnataka Cashew Manufacturers Association, Bar Association, leading doctors, dignitaries from Lions and Rotary Clubs, Hotels and Restaurants Association, Timber Merchants Association, Wine Merchants Association, bankers association, drugs and chemists etc will be among those who will take part in the programme.
The participants will put forth before the minister challenges faced by commercial and industrial establishments in the city with suggestions about steps which can be taken to address the problem. The minister will put together the issues raised during the programme and frame a plan to mitigate the same.
Kamath said that office bearers of other industrial and commerce organizations can make use of this opportunity and take part in the programme by contacting him at the district BJP office near PVS Circle.
