Puttur, Jan 17: Uppinangady police, with whom a complaint about the missing of a woman with her two-year-old daughter had been lodged, found her and her child at Kozhikode and succeeded in bringing them back.
Jeseena (23), wife of Santosh P J, living at Puttanapura in Tekkekere near Addahole in Shiradi village had gone missing since January 8 from her home. Jesleena's husband, Santosh, had filed complaint about this incident in Uppinangady police station. In his complaint, he had said that he had left home at 6 am for rubber tapping work, and on his return, he found that his wife and daughter were not at home. He also alleged that Jesleena had taken away Rs 12,000 from a shop belonging to him near his home.
The Uppinangady police, who undertook investigation, found the lady and her daughter, Leona, from Kozhikode. The duo was brought here. After questioning her, at her request, Jesleena was allowed to go with her mother.
The team led by Uppinangady police sub-inspector, Nandakumar, working under the guidance of rural circle linspector here, Gopal Naik, succeeded in cracking this case.
