Mangaluru: City dentist becomes governor's tooth angel

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jan 13: A dental emergency in the form of pain and swelling can come up at any time and anywhere and to anyone. The same happened to the governor of Nagaland, Padmanabh Balakrishna Acharya when he was recently in and around the city.

The governor developed sudden excruciating pain when he was in Ankola and he contacted a friend of his who referred him to Dr Sanjay Nayak Sujir, a dental surgeon practicing opposite Marigudi temple Urwa Ashoknagar. Early the next morning was the dental visit. "After the initial first aid was given he opted to do the treatment in Mumbai, but then I was taken aback when he said a couple of days later that he would want to get it done at our dental Office. It was a matter of great honour to treat the person at the highest office of the state. He is a man of great humility and patience. We have been blessed that he came to our area," said Dr Sanjay.

After a couple more visits P B Acharya left for Mumbai. A testimony was given by him where he praised the efforts of Dr Sanjay Nayak and said he wanted to get the treatment done without any pain and in his homeland.
