Mangaluru, Jan 12: The concluding ceremonies of the year long centenary celebrations of St Sebastian Church Permannur were set in motion on Wednesday evening January 10 in the form of a vehicle rally.
The rally with the statue of the saint commenced from Someshwar and proceeded to Thokkottu church. The centenary celebrations which began on January 15, 2017 will conclude on January 21. The nine days novena will be held from January 10 to January 19. The concluding programmes of the centenary will be held on January 19, 20 and 21.
Mangaluru diocese vicar Fr Denis Moras Prabhu inaugurated the programme by hoisting the centenary flag. The first day's prayers of the nine day novena were held as preparations. Special prayers were held for families.
