Mangaluru: Repairs - water supply to city to be suspended on January 17

Mangaluru, Jan 11: A release from the office of the commissioner of city corporation here said that water supply will be completely stopped to areas like Kodical, Kottara, Jalligudda, Kuluru, Panambur, Suratkal and Katipalla from 6 am to 6 pm on January 17.

"Sand, waste materials, sediment etc have got accumulated in the 18 MGD purification plant at Thumbe. As such, obstructions are  experienced in running the pump for lifting water. To address this situation, cleaning the jackwell and also to repair leakage in 900 mm main pipe opposite Honda showroom near Kottara Chowki will be undertaken during this period," the release added.
