Mangaluru: Police stop miscreants pelting stones at Natekal mosque, two arrested

Mangaluru, Jan 8: Police thwarted an attempt of miscreants pelting stones at Natekal mosque near Thokkottu on the early morning of Monday, January 8.

As per information available, miscreants came in two bikes and started pelting stones at the mosque. The police personnel stationed some meters away from the mosque heard the noise and rushed to the spot. At that time, the miscreants ran away from the place on a bike. As they had to run away in hurry, they could not take the other bike they had brought.

The bike is registered in the name of a person called Manju.

Later police arrested two persons relating to the incident. Both of them are from Sullia. It is said that they worked as labourers in the area. More details are awaited. 

Police are investigating the case. 

Only some glasses are broken at the mosque, said eyewitnesses.

People have praised police personnel for their timely action.

    The easiest way to curb these kind of incidents is to RECOVER THE LOSS ( 10 times more) from their own pocket. The same applies for destroying public property during agitations. No case hearing should start or bail allowed until unless they pay the cost of damages ! Only after paying the cost of damages, they must of produced in court and the hearing should start.
    In Saudi, if one damages others property, or even accident happens, the culprit must pay the damages, otherwise he will remain in Jail, till he settles the claimed amount.

    very funny to read some comments. some says "Terrorist have color in India that is saffron" ha ha ha.... India, a Hindu nation, Hindustan, some one is dear to say this... Best part , some one mentioned "Our police should start to learn using guns. and shoot these evils on the spot".

    I was also saying the samething, when Deepak's murderers were trying to escape, even attacking police with talwars, they should have just done encounter and closed the topic there. why unnecessarily arrest them, do all dramama.... but if police had done that, whole Karnatak would have been shaken for a while. Siddaramiah would have hanged those police officials.... asking how dare you shoot at muslims or minority people... etc etc.

    so, let's not give big big statements... simple is that... both the sides are having justification. Deepak was murdered because of that banner issue. Basheer is murdered because Deepak is murdered. So, list goes on... Only reason is the state government / HM and CM who doesn't have any control over Law and order. Complete failure of Law and order in the state, that's it. Congress , State government should accept it and vacate the seat. LEt other government take over and see if they can control. That's it.... Let's not give big speeches and bhashans.

    One thing I have noticed in karnataka , especially in our coastal districts, there is not a single incident I have ever heard the incident that minority community involved in such coward acts. I am proud of that the atacking religious places a great sin.

    Only a umbrella group oftenly busy triggering violence and tarnishing the image of entire hindu community. I have witnessed many a times in my native place they pelting stones on masjids, houses of muslims at late nights and most of the times during their event processions. In some area it has become roitine and muslims are used of such attrocities.

    Fringe groups from both Hindus and Muslims have contributed to communal tensions in Mangalore.
