Bengaluru, Jan 7: "There is no end to hate politics. No one should use dead body to play politics," commented state chief minister Siddaramaiah.
He was speaking to media persons after getting information that Basheer, who was attacked with weapons by miscreants, had lost his battle for life. "If religious sentiments are incited, society suffers loss. No one gets any benefit out of such things," he stated.
He reiterated that nobody should indulge in politics based on the lifeless bodies of people. "When someone dies, it is the duty of the people to condole the death and console the grieving family members," he noted.
Siddaramaiah said that BJP workers habitually organize protests when someone dies. "If they have humanity, they have to hold protest even now. Why do they fail to agitate when a Muslim dies?" he wondered.
