Udupi, Jan 6: In the under-16 cricket tournament that was held at MAHE, Manipal grounds under the auspices of Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), Udupi's Azaan Thota of Mangaluru Sports Club (MSC) was the cynosure of all eyes with his brilliant, unbeaten triple century.
Azaan's mammoth unbeaten 311 runs enabled MSC to score a huge victory of 514 runs over Jugul Sports Club. Azaan's unbeaten triple century was the point of attraction of this match. He had an unbroken partnership of 302 runs for the third wicket with Mac D'Souza.

MSC put up a huge total of 558 runs for the loss of only two wickets because of the sparkling and blemishless batting display of Azaan. In reply, Jugul Sports Club were bundled out for just 44 runs against the fierce bowling attack of Vedant and Advith. Vedanth took 5 wickets for 10 runs, Advith took 3 wickets for 15 runs whereas Shane and Amogh secured 1 wicket each.
Boundaries and sixers were raining from the willow of Azaan, who opened the innings for MSC. He faced just 160 deliveries for his unbeaten 311. This included 38 boundaries and 15 sixers. He had a partnership of 76 runs for the first wicket with Macneil, who scored 43 runs, 180 runs for the second wicket with Ravind, who scored 68 runs and unbroken 302 runs partnership for the third wicket with Mac D'Souza.
