Mangaluru, Jan 2: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal and Durgavahini women’s wing will hold a 15-day awareness programme against Love Jihad beginning from January 3.
Addressing a press meet here on Tuesday January 2, MB Puranik , working president, VHP, Karnataka, explained the programme details and said "Day by day, the incidents of 'Love Jihad' are increasing in Kannada, Udupi, and Kasargod districts. Some Muslim organizations, specially linked with terrorists, are converting Hindu girls in the name of love and marriages,”
“But finally they are using these girls against the nation. They are also sending these girls abroad for terror activities. There are also some cases where girls are used for illegal activities. So to avoid all these ills, we are holding a campaign against Love Jihad. Kerala High Court also mentioned in its statement that Love Jihad does exist there and it is part of terrorism,” he added.
“Our members will visit every houses, schools, and offices in district and will distribute the handbills with literature of awareness on Love Jihad. We also trying to give a proper guidance to Hindu parents about how to control their children,” he concluded.
Sharan Pumpwell, convenor for Karnataka South, said "There is a plan to make entire India as an Islamic country. As result of this, many of our girls are going with Muslim youths. They are brainwashed by Muslim youths and lured by love and money. This is putting the families in trouble. To prevent this, we are holding the campaign. We are not against inter -caste marriages who live in society respectfully,”
