Bengaluru, Dec 12 (DHNS): A delegation of state BJP leaders met Governor Vajubhai Vala seeking a direction to the government to order a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the deaths of Hindu/RSS activists.
A delegation of the leaders led by KS Eshwarappa, R Ashoka, Shobha Karandlaje met Vala in Raj Bhavan and submitted a memorandum stating that more than 20 Hindu/RSS activists had been killed during the last four years,
the latest being that of Paresh Mesta who was found dead in Honnavar in Uttara Kannada.
BJP leaders blamed "jihadi" forces for the killings who allegedly have the support of the state government and the police.
The leaders staged a protest in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue between Vidhana Soudha and Vikasa Soudha in support of their demand.
They accused the state government of turning a blind eye to the activities of outfits like PFI, which the leaders charged, as being involved in attacks on pro-Hindu activists.
