Mangaluru, Dec 1: As per information received, leaders of certain Hindu organizations have succeeded in counselling with a girl who had fallen in love with a drugs mafia accused, and convincing her to change her mind.
A girl student of a city college had fallen in love with Amir Suhail from Bunder here. Suhail had recently been caught by the city crime branch police when trafficking ganja. Photographs and video clippings of the girl in the company of Suhail were making the rounds in social websites since the last some days. Activists of some Hindu organizations came to know about this development, and soon succeeded in identifying the girl. They personally met her and arranged for counselling sessions. A video in which the girl is heard saying that she would be correcting her past mistakes, was circulated thereafter in social websites.
But many have expressed anguish at the way the girl was made to issue a statement on video and sharing the same through social websites as they are of the opinion that her privacy has been offended. Many have criticized the Hindu leaders for failing to conduct her counselling secretly and achieve transformation of her mind without any fuss. They feel that it was wrong to have uploaded the video containing her confession in social websites.
