Bengaluru, Nov 30: In an intriguing story that is reported from Hosakote taluk of Bengaluru rural district, two buffaloes, which reached a village that was 10 kilometres away from their native, have safely returned back to the rightful owner due to a Facebook post.
The buffaloes, that belonged to Narayanaswamy, a resident of Esthuru village, Sulibele, were missing since the evening of Monday, November 27. The buffaloes which went astray during grazing reached Kondrahalli village which is at a distance of 10 kilometres.
Mohan, a resident of Kondrahalli, took pity on the buffaloes and gave shelter and also provided grass and water.
Mohan took the help of Facebook and uploaded the pictures of these animals and asked everyone to share it so that they can be returned to their rightful owner. Nagesh, a resident of Esthuru village, who knew the owner of these buffaloes, immediately alerted the owner Narayanaswamy. He and Narayanaswamy went all the way to Kondrahalli and brought the buffaloes back to Esthuru village.
Villagers of Esthuru are praising glory of the social site Facebook for its help in tracing the lost buffaloes.
