Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (AM)

Puttur, Nov 28: In a sad incident on Tuesday, November 28, a two-year-old child fell into a pond accidently and died.

Shourya, son of Sudarshan and Ashwini is the deceased.

Shourya lived with his mother and father in Bengaluru. He was dropped at his maternal grandparents’ house for holidays by Ashwini. It is gathered that Shourya’s grandfather had brought him out into the garden and later dropped him back to the house. It is suspected that Shourya had followed his grandfather who had gone back to the garden for some work and fallen into the nearby pond.

A case stands registered at Puttur city police station.

What a tragody to the family.Small children are attracted mostly to the loading fire, water and oven ,flames. They turn all switches ,and have immense happiness to do,hwere for parents or family it is a nightmare to let the gas ,electric switches turned on.One has to be only with them to watch them.In a unwatched moment they turn on full and have to run behind them .Their running power is like athlet to defeat.Hope the soul of this angel be with angels above ,and heartfelt sympathys to the family.

Tragic indeed, The boy has gone straight to heaven. I have a nightmare of a similar incident at the same age when I wandered unnoticed by my mother to the back of our house (in Sanyasi Gudde), but the pond was shallow, water just up to my shoulder! - and was rescued... It was not my time to go. That was four score and .... years ago. Just goes to show that children at that age have constantly to be watched. There are many tragedies even in Ottawa where in the flash of a moment children wander away and drown in the backyard swimming pools.
